Despite of all the hurt this book has given but after reading it I never felt broken or as if I need another book to mend that pain. Instead I got the feeling of completeness like, something was missing earlier and now it has been fixed. Just read on you'll get to know what I'm talking about...
I'm pretty much sure that I never have really acknowledged the beauty of word WORD until I met Max. He taught a lot not only to Liesel but to me also. This book has totally gave me a new perspective to see words. After reading this book I went for the movie adaptation of the book thief and there's this one line which Max said and I'd like to mention it in here is ''WORDS ARE LIFE, LIESEL'' and idk how to explain that feeling I felt but I loved it.
And Liesel, the moment she came to live with her foster parents her life totally changes. I saw her smiling, laughing, learning, crying, stealing and finding her very self in books.
Zusak's writing style is so dynamic and so beautiful and how he has personified everything in book like weather, colors, death and words is phenomenal. It is so unique of him that how he has chosen death as his narrator.
In each page I could easily spot lines which will break you and make you. Lines which will broke you apart and then reunite you at the same time. I'm definitely gonna add this book in my 21' favorite reads pile.
