The plot revoles around Kabir, a dynamic travel journalist and Noosh, the love of his life. He lands up in Afghanistan for a special project offered by his professor that he has to be a spy. Although, his actual destination there was Noosh. They've known each other since their college days in Moscow.
He didn't realized that the so-called special project will lead him to become a part of a larger conspiracy that will crush his existence. As the days went by, the political situation of the country became nasty and thus the outcome was a war.
This book is set in the 1970s of Afghanistan and has a glimpse of the war situation occurred at that time which I could easily relate with the present cicumstances of Afghanistan. I enjoyed reading this but I felt if it was in the form of movie then I would've enjoyed it more. Idky but I usually feels that the first half of some books always sucks and for me this was one of them. I liked the second-half of this book more and I loved how the author has enclosed this story.
At some point, I was unable to connect to the story and it was the plot which kept me intrigued. I liked the prologue of this one because it kinda raise the suspicion for the later part of the book. Overall, it was a light and nice read.
